As of November 30th, I have formally resigned from my position as Lead Pastor of Lifebridge Community Church.
While it wasn’t our intention to depart from Lifebridge and the area after about 15 months, we feel God calling us elsewhere. Thus, I will transition my responsibilities to the Board of Elders in the coming weeks and officially depart in early 2023.
During our time in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, the Spirit has clarified my desire to minister to and be on mission in a post-Christian context, particularly an urban center. My wife and I are still determining where we’ll relocate to and what we will do for work. Still, we, along with the elders and mentors, are confident of the call to go elsewhere.
My family and I are incredibly grateful for having been welcomed into the community within Lifebridge. In our short tenure, we have forged wonderful friendships, seen evidence of God’s grace in our lives, and observed pockets of the kingdom made manifest within our community. This congregation will forever hold a special place in my heart, for they all took a step of faith and gave me my first opportunity to become a Lead Pastor.
On behalf of our family, we want to express our deepest gratitude to the people of Lifebridge and the Evana Network. They warmly welcomed us into their community, helped us welcome our third child here, and allowed us to be a pastor for their people. We are forever grateful.
In the peace and love of our Lord Jesus,
Tyler A. Saldaña
